Early in the morning, we proceed to Delhi airport to catch a flight to Varanasi. Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in human civilization hold great cultural and religious importance. It is also known as Banaras.
Traditional etymology links “Varanasi” to the names of two Ganges tributaries forming the city’s borders: Varuna, still flowing in northern Varanasi, and Assi, today a small stream in the southern part of the city, near Assi Ghat.
Upon arrival check- in at the hotel (as per hotel check in timings). In the afternoon visit ghats and in the evening attend Ganga Aarti. Overnight at the hotel.

In the afternoon visit Sarnath Buddhist Temple and museum. It is believed that Sarnath is where the Buddha gave his first sermon and temples stood here for hundreds of years although they are now largely ruins. Wrap up your day with a sunset boat ride on the river Ganges. Sunset is probably the calmest time for boat trips and means you can catch the evening prayer ceremonies at Dashashwamedh ghat which are truly beautiful.
You can buy small floating candle bowls if you want to make your own offerings. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Varanasi Airport to board your return flight to New Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, connect to your onward international departure or continue with your next destination.
