Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Chennai

Upon arrival at Chennai Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by your tour representative. After assistance with check-in at your hotel and freshening up, enjoy a local sightseeing tour covering the lighthouse, British-built Old Government House, Basilica of San Thome and Marina Beach. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 02 : Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (≈144 km / 4 hrs)

Post breakfast, drive to Kanchipuram — the city of a thousand temples. Explore the Ekambaranathar Temple and Kailasanathar Temple, renowned for their architecture. Later, continue to Mahabalipuram, check in at your hotel, and relax for the evening. Overnight at Mahabalipuram.

Day 03 : Mahabalipuram – Tanjore (≈302 km / 6 hrs)

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Shore Temple, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas and other rock-cut monuments at Mahabalipuram. Later drive to Tanjore (Thanjavur). On arrival, check in at your hotel and visit the Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight at Tanjore.

Day 04 : Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai (≈200 km / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Madurai via Tiruchirappalli (Trichy). In Trichy, visit the Rock Fort and Srirangam Temple. Continue to Madurai and check in at your hotel. Later, visit the Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple and explore the city. Overnight at Madurai.

Day 05 : Madurai Sightseeing

Post breakfast, head out to visit Tirumalai Nayakar Palace and further explore the bustling heritage city. In the evening, return to the Meenakshi Amman Temple to witness evening rituals. Overnight at Madurai.

Day 06 : Madurai – Munnar (≈154 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Munnar, Kerala’s picturesque hill station. Enjoy a tea garden walk and visit the Tea Museum (closed on Mondays), and observe the tea making process at a tea factory. Overnight at Munnar.

Day 07 : Munnar – Periyar (≈94 km / 4 hrs)

Post breakfast, drive to Periyar, stopping en route at Idukki Dam for sightseeing. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and proceed for a boat cruise on Periyar Lake inside the wildlife sanctuary, where you may spot elephants, deer, birds and more. Overnight at Periyar.

Day 08 : Periyar – Alleppey Backwaters (≈105 km / 3 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey. Enjoy a traditional houseboat cruise from Kumarakom to Alleppey, soaking in the tranquil backwaters, village life and scenic beauty. After cruising, transfer to your hotel in Alleppey for overnight stay.

Day 09 : Alleppey – Cochin (≈49 km / 1 hr)

Post breakfast, drive to Cochin. On arrival, check in at your hotel and later visit a cultural centre to watch a live Kathakali performance — an expressive classical dance form of Kerala. Overnight at Cochin.

Day 10 : Cochin (Departure)

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Cochin including the Jewish Synagogue and spice market (synagogue closed on Saturdays). Later, check out from the hotel and transfer to Cochin Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
